At Verse Things First, everything comes back to one thing. Your story matters, and it deserves to be told properly.

Over time, we realised the way customers were ordering their songs didn’t quite match the level of care that goes into creating them. People were rushing through details at checkout, missing things that actually mattered, or overthinking it in the moment.

So we changed it. 

What’s Different Now?

The process is simpler and a lot more intentional.

  1. You place your order first.
  2. You get an email with your login details for the Customer Portal.
  3. You complete your song details inside the portal.

That’s it. No more trying to write something meaningful while you’re halfway through checkout. No pressure to get it perfect in one go.

You can sit with it, think about it, and actually tell the story the way you want to.

The Customer Portal

The portal is now where everything happens. When you log in, it tells you exactly what to do next. If your questionnaire isn’t done, that’s front and centre. If your lyrics are ready to review, you’ll see that straight away. If we’re working on your song, you’ll know.

And now, you’ll also hear your song before it’s finalised.

Once your song is ready, you’ll get access to a preview inside the portal. This is your moment to listen, take it in, and make sure it feels right before you lock it in.

Everything is in one place. You no longer have to dig through emails or wonder where in the process your song is up to. 

Why We Made the Change

The short version. Better songs. The best songs come from detail. The small things. The random memories. The stuff you don’t think matters until you hear it in a lyric.

When this was all done at checkout, a lot of that got lost.

Now, people take a bit more time. They write more. They remember more. And that shows in the final song.

We don’t rush these. We spend hours shaping the lyrics, making sure the story flows properly, choosing the right words, and refining it until it feels like them. There’s a level of quality control behind the scenes that most people never see, but it’s a huge part of why the final result lands the way it does.

This change just makes sure the process leading up to that is just as considered.
