A Father’s Day Song for Shuv: From Aisha’s Heart

A Father’s Day Song for Shuv: From Aisha’s Heart

This Father’s Day, we had the privilege of helping Aisha tell her family’s story through song. It was one of those projects that reminded us why we do what we do at Verse Things First - turning life’s most meaningful moments into music.

Aisha’s Story

Aisha reached out just before Father’s Day with a clear vision in mind: she wanted a gift that would celebrate her husband, Shuv, not only as a dad, but as the man he had become after years of hardship and resilience.

From their beginnings in Claymore in 2003 to late-night McDonald’s runs where they shared ten cheeseburgers in the car park, their journey has been filled with ups and downs. Together, they have faced poverty, endured loss, and yet found strength in each other.

They opened their home to foster daughters, supported one another through grief, and in 2024, welcomed their baby girl, Khadijah. Through it all, Shuv has shown what it means to put family first - working long 12-hour shifts, waking in the night without complaint, and bringing joy and laughter into their home.

The Song

When Aisha shared her story, she also chose one of our special add-ons: a lyric review. This option gave her the chance to see the lyrics on paper before the final track was recorded, ensuring every line captured her heart exactly. It’s a step some clients love to include so they can feel even more connected to the process.

One lyric stood out most to her:

🎶 “I know I don’t say this often enough,
But your love is steady, your love is tough.
Through every heartbreak, every fight we’ve won,
I’m proud of the man that you’ve become.”

For Aisha, these words summed up everything she wanted to say. Her love language might be actions, but this Father’s Day she wanted Shuv to hear it in a song.

Aisha’s Review

After receiving the finished track, Aisha shared these words:

“Outstanding service from beginning to end. I left Father’s Day to the last minute and Megan delivered within 48 hours. The song is amazing quality… The song is very catchy but heartfelt. Megan MADE IT HAPPEN.”

Her feedback gave us goosebumps - a reminder that music has the power to say what’s often left unsaid.

Why We Loved This Project

Working with Aisha and Shuv’s story was a true honour. The lyric review process allowed us to collaborate closely, making sure every word reflected the love, pride, and gratitude Aisha wanted to express.

For us, this wasn’t just another Father’s Day song. It was a celebration of resilience, family, and the incredible strength of a husband and dad who always puts his family first.
